Profound is the more mature product for enterprise teams working in English-speaking markets: it starts at $99/month, tracks ChatGPT only on that tier, and unlocks multi-engine tracking on the $399 Growth plan. GeoRanke treats Turkish as a first-class language rather than a translation layer, measures more than one engine from its entry plan, bills in Turkish lira, and does not gate its REST API behind a tier. In short: choose Profound if you run enterprise campaigns in English only; choose GeoRanke if you need Turkish-language prompt coverage or would rather not carry USD exposure.

Why engine coverage decides the answer
Being visible in ChatGPT does not mean being visible in Perplexity. These engines read different indexes: ChatGPT’s search layer is fed by Bing, Perplexity maintains its own crawler and index, and Google’s AI Overviews are assembled from Google’s organic index. In an October 2025 analysis, Ahrefs found that 28.3% of the pages ChatGPT cites most often had no organic Google visibility at all — so a single-engine measurement shows only one slice of a brand’s real position. Profound’s entry tier tracks one engine; you reach three by moving to Growth, and the remaining engines sit behind Enterprise. GeoRanke sets the engine list by what makes the measurement meaningful rather than by plan, and reports each engine separately instead of collapsing them into one score.
Does it measure non-English prompts?
This is the sharpest difference between the two products. A Turkish question is answered from a different pool of sources than its English equivalent: the engine’s access to Turkish content, the size of that content pool, and how often the brand is mentioned in the local language all change the outcome. Profound’s pricing and product pages make no commitment to a Turkish interface or Turkish prompt tracking. GeoRanke was built the other way around — prompts are stored in Turkish, answers are evaluated in Turkish, and a relevance gate drops sources with no Turkish-language signal so the report is not padded with unrelated results. If you measure in Turkey or the wider MENA region, this is where the difference starts.
Is a live-search answer the same as a from-memory answer?
It is not, and a measurement that ignores the difference will mislead you. Some engines run a real web search when they receive a question and build the answer from pages they find at that moment; others answer straight from what the model already holds, with no retrieval step. In the first case your visibility depends on your content, your technical accessibility and whether you are in the index right now — things you can act on. In the second it depends on how much of the model’s training data your brand occupies, which you cannot change in the short term. GeoRanke keeps the two apart: results from grounded engines feed the visibility score, and results from memory-only engines are reported separately. Collapsing both into one percentage mixes a metric you can work on with one you cannot. We found no public documentation showing that Profound surfaces this split as a distinct metric; it is worth asking during a demo how it appears in your own dashboard.
How to compare the price honestly
The two products bill in different currencies: Profound in US dollars, GeoRanke in Turkish lira. We deliberately do not print a fixed conversion here — a rate that is correct today is wrong in three months, and nothing on the page would show that it had gone wrong. The table below gives each side’s current figure in its own currency; convert with your own rate. When you compare, ignore the tier names and work out cost per tracked question: divide the monthly fee by the number of prompts, then factor in how many engines each prompt is measured against. Fifty prompts on one engine and ten prompts on eight engines are not the same product.
When Profound is the better choice
- You work in English-speaking markets only and have no need for Turkish prompt coverage — Profound has been in that market longer and with a larger reference list.
- Your procurement process requires custom contracts, a dedicated Slack channel and a named specialist; Profound’s Enterprise tier is built for exactly that.
- You need agent-analytics style data about how AI crawlers and agents behave on your own site — Profound goes deeper there than we do.
- Your team budgets in USD and would rather not manage FX exposure.
Frequently asked
Is GeoRanke a drop-in replacement for Profound?
No. They solve the same problem for different markets. Profound targets English-language enterprise programmes; GeoRanke targets Turkish-language measurement and multi-engine coverage from the entry plan. What they measure is the same thing: whether your brand appears in generative answers.
Can I migrate my history from Profound?
No, and you should not want to. The two products use different scan schedules and different prompt pools, so merging the series would join two things that are not comparable. The right approach is to re-enter the same prompts in GeoRanke and run both for a month in parallel.
Is there a free way to try it?
GeoRanke’s public analyser and its three free tools (AI bot checker, llms.txt generator, schema generator) work without an account. Tracking has a 3-day trial plan. Profound’s pricing page mentions a free trial but does not state its length.
